Frequently Asked Questions
Why did my original roof not have drip edge?
Older building codes did not require it, so many homes, especially older builds, do not have it. Retrofitting is the usual way to add it without redoing the roof.
Is drip edge the same as gutter apron?
Close, but not identical. Drip edge tucks under the first shingle and hangs out slightly. Gutter apron is longer and reaches further into the gutter. We use whichever fits your roof.
